AmitySoft launches HR assessment package
Our Bureau
CHENNAI, July 16
AMITYSOFT, a Chennai-based IT company, has launched `Yomx', a Java-based human resource assessment package. The package will enable the knowledge-based industry to evaluate an employee's knowledge base, to identify the need to upgrade their skills in new
emerging technologies, said the company's Managing Director and CEO, Mr. K.R. Jayakumar.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Jayakumar said the Web-based assessment product is designed to support the process of evaluating employees in terms of knowledge, skills and expertise levels during recruitment, training and performance appraisal.
Yomx will reduce labour and cost, incurred normally by companies for organising large scale tests, evaluation and follow-ups in the selection process for the right candidates, he said.
The company's Chief Operating Officer, Mr. K. Ramesh, said Yomx will facilitate the instant assessment of candidates by online screening.
Mr. Ramesh said the base product will cost Rs. 19,000. The company has planned a question bank, which will be offered for Rs. 30,000 every quarter. There is also a yearly package for Rs. 40,000, he said.
The company reported a turnover of Rs. 2 crores in 1999-2000, and expects the same to go up to Rs. 5 crores during this fiscal. Of this, Yomx's contribution will be around Rs. 1 crore, he said.
