`CIAL will come out of red by July 2001'
ALLAYING the fears of the shareholders and the public about the future of the Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL), the Managing Director, Mr. Babu C. Rajeev, said at a press conference here that the company would come out of the red by July 2001 and by that time it would make a profit of Rs. 3 crores.

DPR planned to widen JN port harbour, access channel
THE Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) will soon appoint an agency to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) on the deepening of the main harbour and access channel of the JN port, as a first step towards converting the port into a hub port capable of a ccommodating very large mainline vessels.

PIB clears Surat-Manor highway project
THE Public Investment Board (PIB) has cleared the Asian Development Bank (ADB)-assisted Rs. 1,143-crore highway project between Surat in Gujarat and Manor in Maharashtra on NH-8.
