HCL Infosystems to pay Rs 2.5
MUMBAI: The board of directors of HCL Infosystems has recommended a dividend of 25 per cent (Rs. 2.5 per equity share of Rs. 10 each) amounting to Rs. 7.97 crores for the year ended June 30, 2000. The company's net profit rose 24.8 per cent to Rs. 73.06
crores from Rs. 58.52 crores the previous year.
Net sales or income from operations amounted to Rs. 1124.92 crores (Rs. 945.03 crores). Other income stood at Rs. 11.25 crores (Rs. 4.01 crores).
Profit before interest, depreciation and tax stood at Rs. 100.81 crores (Rs. 89.65 crores). The voluntary retirement scheme amounted to Rs. 4.55 crores (Rs. 4.04 crores). Interest amounted to Rs. 5.16 crores (Rs. 9.96 crores); and depreciation Rs. 12.68
crores (Rs. 11.53 crores).
Profit before tax stood at Rs. 78.41 crores (Rs. 34.91 crores); provision for tax amounted to Rs. 5.35 crores (Rs. 6.9 crores). -- Our Bureau
