ICICI launches online moneymanager
Our Bureau
MUMBAI, Aug. 10
ICICI Ltd on Thursday launched icicimoneymanager.com _ a fully integrated offering on banking, personal finance and investment services on the Net.
Speaking at a press meet here today, Ms. Lalita Gupte, Joint Managing Director, ICICI Ltd, said this service enables a customer to have a consolidated view of all his/her ICICI relationships at one place and do online transactions in all products (bank,
credit cards, loan, demat and bond accounts) from a single access point.
According to her, the portal will also offer information on investment opportunities, including third-party investment products (mutual funds, IPOs, etc). ``The customers can also benefit from regular e-mail-based consulting _ on investment opportunities
with market reports on chosen areas,'' Ms. Gupte said.
Some of the unique features of icicimoneymanager include offering personalised content, guidance, tools and products at a single click by the customer. The service also provides online transaction capability and offers customers relationship management.
Ms. Gupte said the institution will ensure that the service is available to as many customers as possible through multiple access devices such as the PCs, cable TV, mobile phones, etc. ``ICICI proposes to harness the opportunities offered by broadband In
ternet technology to bring virtual banking enriched with interactive content to its customers,'' she said.
Ms. Gupte said ICICI intends to use the Internet to offer innovative products and services to attract new customers and increase customer retention. In line with this strategy, ICICI had launched Internet banking _ Infinity _ in 1997.
Replying to queries on the timing of an interest rate hike by the institution, Ms. Gupte said: ``No decision (on the hike) has yet been taken. We are watching the situation closely and a decision will be taken at an appropriate time.''
