Indian Seamless bags ONGC order
PUNE: Indian Seamless Metal Tubes Ltd (ISMT) has bagged an order for casing pipe from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC). According to a press release from the company on Tuesday, ISMT bagged the order despite bidding by big international players
due to its competitive price.
The company said ISMT, along with its strategic partner, has picked up an order of 21,500 tonnes of 9-5/8 casing pipe of the J and N grades from ONGC. It has also got an order for 7,700 tonnes of green pipes of the L and P grades from a processor who has
got this order from the ONGC.
Of the total of about 45,000 tonnes of casing pipes, ISMT would be supplying about 65 per cent of the ONGC requirement. The order has to be executed within 10 months. -- Our Bureau
