HC okays demerger of Novartis agribusiness

MUMBAI: The Bombay High Court on Wednesday approved the demerger of Novartis India's agribusiness, comprising crop protection chemicals and seeds business into a separate company, Novartis Agribusiness India Pvt Ltd.

The company, Novartis Agribusiness India Pvt Ltd, has been renamed Syngenta India Pvt Ltd. The implementation of the court order and the listing on the Bombay Stock Exchange were expected to be completed by the year-end, a release has said. -- Our Bure au
