Birla MF declares dividend for 2 plans

MUMBAI: Birla Mutual Fund has declared quarterly dividends for two schemes -- Birla Income Plus and Birla Gilt Plus, a press release said here on Monday.

The fund has announced a dividend of 2.25 per cent for Birla Income Plus for the quarter ended September 15. Net of dividend tax, the payout works out to 1.84 per cent for investors.

The release said that ``despite the difficulties posed by the volatility in the debt market following the Bank Rate and CRR hike by the RBI, the income scheme has managed to pay dividend''.

Birla Gilt Plus, under three plans, liquid, investment and long-term, has declared dividends of 2.25 per cent, 1.50 per cent, and 1.75 per cent respectively which translate to net-of-tax payouts of 1.84 per cent, 1.23 per cent, and 1.43 per cent respecti vely, the release said.

It added that Birla MF currently has over Rs 3,900 crore of assets under management. -- Our Bureau
