Bharat Forge: Flat restructuring influence
THE proposed restructuring by Bharat Forge may not lead to any firm trends in the stock price.
The company has proposed a demerger of the investments and the wind mills division into a separate company. Under the proposed arrangement, the shareholders of Bharat Forge would be issued shares of Rs 5 each in the new company for every share held. The
deal is subject to approval by the courts. With concerns over the prospects for the investment and wind mills business, the restructuring may not lead to any significant uptrend in the near term. The stock price is down close to 66 per cent for the year.
