Chaitime.com relaunches US site

CHENNAI: Chaitime.com, the South Asian online community and affinity marketing company, has announced the relaunch of its US site. The site has revamped channels with new content and features across old favourites such as singles scene and astrology, and enhancement in new areas such as education and careers. The site also has a new Bazaar area, where users can shop and send gifts to India. The company is also planning to launch UK and India sites later this month with country-specific content and servi ces. These steps are part of the company's overall strategy to build on its strong global position and brand name, says a release.

Chaitime.com has claimedly built a strong position among American NRI youth with its offline-online integration. It has relationships with many college and professional organisations and is leveraging these to grow traffic and revenues. The site's Bazaar area experienced a busy Rakhi season, with orders doubling over the previous month, and the average purchase exceeded $25. -- Our Bureau
