Intelligroup inks pact with UK firm

HYDERABAD, Dec. 5
INTELLIGROUP Asia Ltd, the Hyderabad-based end-to-end business solutions provider and wholly-owned subsidiary of the US-based Intelligroup Inc, has announced the signing up of a global strategic alliance with ThinkingCAP Technology Ltd, a UK-based softwa
re company primarily focussing on global financial organisations.
In a press release on Tuesday, Intelligroup Asia said that it would be working closely with ThinkingCAP to build and deliver a configurable software solution for rapidly developing, integrating and modifying enterprise applications.
Intelligroup would develop a flexible and configurable Java infrastructure that can be easily installed and integrated with legacy applications and new technologies.
ThinkingCAP, formed by a management team from the US-based investment bank, D.E. Shaw & Co. LLP, is financially backed up the US-based AT Technology Partners LLP (Apollo), one of the largest private equity funds in the world.
Currently, Apollo and its affiliates, with offices in New York, Los Angeles and London, manage a portfolio of private funds in excess of $13 billion.
The Intelligroup Asia Chief Operating Officer, Mr M.D.S. Bosco, said that the partnership with ThinkingCAP includes the development, integration and deployment of a solution targeted at customers which primarily include large banking, insurance, manufact
uring and infrastructure industries.
``We are confident that our experienced and focussed global technology team can rapidly and cost-effectively deliver this innovative solution to our target customers.''
Commenting on the tie-up, the ThinkingCAP Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Rod Dowler, said: ``Key to ThinkingCAP's strategy is the formation of strategic alliances with major consultancies and application package vendors that can delive
r competitive and effective solutions to our end users.
