Said to take over as Pfizer India MD
MUMBAI: Mr Hoeine Sidi Said is to take over as the new Managing Director of Pfizer India Ltd with effect from January 1, 2001. The decision was taken at the board of directors meeting held on Thursday.
Mr Said is currently holding the position of Country Head, Denmark. He takes over from Mr Ian Young who has held the position for the past three years.
Basically, a marketing man, Mr Said will now oversee the integration of Pfizer India with Parke Davis India. Earlier this year, the parent company, Pfizer merged with Warner Lambert. Warner Lambert is the majority shareholder in Parke Davis.
Mr Ian Young has held various positions in Pfizer for 35 years.
The resignation of Mr Bhaskar Bhattarcharya, Alternate Director to Mr B Valentini and Wholetime Director of company, was accepted with effect from December 1, 2000. -- Our Bureau
