Weak demand at ICTA auctions

COFFEE prices were completely out of sync

with international trends at the Indian Coffee Trade Association (ICTA) auctions here as the industry looked forward to the arrival of the new crop.

The trade condistions are expected to improve with the arrival of the new crop. Demand was weak at Thursday's auctions in view of the sellers' demand for higher prices compared to the global prices.

Sales were as follows: Arabica Parchment PB sold for an average of Rs 70.52 per kg (Rs 71.24 last week); Arabica Parchment A Rs 61.44 (Rs 59.46); Arabica Parchment B Rs 47.5 (Rs 51.); Arabica Parchment C Rs 45.42 (Rs 43.62); Arabica Parchment BBB R s 26.82 (Rs 30.98).

Arabica Cherry PB Rs 41.40 (Rs 43.66); Arabica Cherry AB Rs 52.20 (Rs 43.9); Arabica Cherry C Rs 30.00 (Rs 32.46); Arabica Cherry BBB Rs 24.56 (Rs 30.08).

Robusta Parchment not traded.
