Playing it safe in weak moments

LAST week, when the high-level committee on capital market (HLC) headed by the RBI Governor, Dr Bimal Jalan, met in Mumbai to discuss some important issues, lighter moments were provided as usual by the officials of the capital market regu lator, the Securities and Exchange Board of India.

Sensex headed further south
THE party seems to be over for the momentum stocks. Some brokers and analysts, however, still talk of critical support levels lying ahead for fancied technology stocks and possible price bounceback; but, takers of such a view are few and f ar between.
