Escorts JCB posts Rs 471-cr turnover
NEW DELHI: Escorts JCB Ltd, the Delhi-based joint venture between J C Bamford Excavator Ltd of the UK and the Escorts group, has recorded a turnover of Rs 471 crore during calendar year 2000.
The company has achieved sales of 2,863 units, an increase of 665 units over the previous year, thereby registering a growth of 30 per cent. According to an official release, the net turnover of Escorts JCB at Rs 471 crore has also increased by 31 per ce
nt from the turnover of Rs 361 crore recorded during the calendar year 1999.
The joint venture Escorts JCB is a leading manufacturer of earthmoving and construction equipment in the country. To reinforce the company's presence in India, it had launched two new products - the skid steer and track excavator last year. _ Our Bureau
