Kumaran solution for `i-markets'

INTERNET strategies, increasing bandwidth and convergence of application and network are transforming the business practice.

i-Solutions from the Chennai-based Kumaran Systems aims at integrating the iterative world, where market requirement and enabling technology are continuously iterating.

It will empower companies on issues such as supply chain, applications service provider (ASP) and business-to-business (B2B), the company's Chief Operating Officer, Mr Naresh Nagarajan, said.

This is a major diversification for the company, from just being an Oracle migration service provider.

The company has over 10 years association with Oracle and its technology, and has done over 400 projects in North America for Fortune 1,000 companies, he said.

Mr Nagarajan, who recently moved from Cognizant Technology to Kumaran, said that iSolutions will bring IPR products in enterprise system and network, management applications, domain understanding of vertical industry, skills in business intelligence, dat a warehousing, e-business implementation, Web-based tools and technology and product development.

In the i-supply chain, the company plans to target enterprises which wish to offer SCM solutions.

The company will take advantage of Oracle's partnership, and plans to have tie up with some of the leading providers of supply chain and B2B solutions.

The company also has expertise in data warehousing and business intelligence, he said.

In the i-ASP sector, Mr Nagarajan said that the company would offer centralised control of distributed computing environ (i-jobs), event management and systems network consulting. ``The company will target ASPs and ASP aggregators.''

The i-MarketPlace is an assessment, implementation, integration, personalisation of B2B application, Web/mobile applications and legacy to Web reengineering. ``The solution is targeted at private i-marketplace owners.''

Mr Nagarajan said that i-Solutions would be a Net-centric application and broadband mix on the server side.
