JP Systems bags Woolworths project
Our Bureau
HYDERABAD, Feb. 21
JP Systems India Ltd, a Hyderabad-based Web-enabling technology solution provider, has been awarded a project by Woolworths (NZ) to develop supply chain delivery process automation and direct-to-store delivery solution for its stores spread across New Ze
aland.
A subsidiary of JP System Inc, JP Systems has partnered with Mobile and E-commerce Solutions Ltd (MECS) in New Zealand to deliver this solution.
The Chief Executive Officer of JP Systems, Mr Raghu Kumar, said the project involved a study of Woolworth's current systems and requirements, conceptualisation of appropriate solutions, development of the solution and training.
The direct-to-store delivery Palm application allows the user to view the delivery note and initiates the Hot Sync process that transfers data from PC to Palm devices. This brings in efficiency to supply chain and reduces the turnaround time.
Woolworths, a wholly-owned subsidiary of $6.8-billion Dairy Farm International, is a supermarket chain having 83 stores and employing over 9,000 people in New Zealand.
