Roofit Ind net rises 19.23 pc

MUMBAI, April 30

ROOFIT Industries Ltd has registered a 19.23 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 11.16 crore in the third quarter ended March 31, 2001, against Rs 9.36 crore in the same period the previous year.

Sales during the quarter increased to Rs 115.73 crore compared to Rs 73.20 crore in the previous year period. Other income dropped to Rs 5 lakh (Rs 13 lakh) while total expenditure rose to Rs 93.08 crore (Rs 55.07 crore).

Interest increased to Rs 8.07 crore (Rs 6.13 crore) while depreciation was at Rs 2.16 crore (Rs 1.52 crore). Provision for tax was at Rs 1.31 crore (Rs 1.25 crore).

Earnings per share for the quarter is at Rs 7.16 (Rs 12).

During the nine months ended March 31, 2001, the net profit increased to Rs 30.09 crore (Rs 23.89 crore).

Sales rose to Rs 306.74 crore (Rs 197.92 crore). Total expenditure was at Rs 246.59 crore (Rs 150.29 crore).
