Aptech, Pasona form alliance

CHENNAI, April 30

THE software and consulting arm of Aptech Ltd has entered into an alliance with Pasona Tech, Japan, to address the IT consulting market in Japan, according to a statement released by Aptech.

According to the terms of the agreement, Aptech will be the offshore development centre focussing on e-commerce technologies for the Japanese market.

Mr Abhay Sinha, Executive Vice-President, Aptech Software and Consulting, is quoted in the release as saying, ``the joint clientele, which comprises many Fortune 500 companies will strengthen our position and enable us to leverage our expertise to develo p new services.''

The two partners had plans to address both the on-site and the offshore IT projects, the release said.

Pasona Tech is a part of the Pasona group that works with leading users of IT in Japan. Established in 1998, the company has branches in Tokyo, Osaka and Yokohoma. It is a subsidiary of Pasona, the largest HR services company in Japan, with clients inclu ding large banks and electronics players. It has 62 offices in Japan and 10 international offices.
