Workshop on export opportunities

COIMBATORE: The Netherlands-based, Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries, is holding a two-day workshop next month in Tirupur on export opportunities for ready-made garments in the European Union.

The workshop to be held on June 8 and 9, 2001 in association with the Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA) will focus on the changing market scene in the context of phasing out of EU import restrictions on clothings and textiles, according to a press rele ase from the TEA.

The Centre's resource persons to be present at the workshop include its textile product consultant, Mr Hans Hunink and marketing consultant Mr Laman Trip and they will also offer follow up assistance to select participants taking part in the workshop in areas such as skill upgradation. -- Our Bureau
