Come clean if corrupt
V. K. Somasekhar, Bangalore
`JPC members should come clean on links' (Business Line, May 16) made interesting reading. The stock scam is nothing but a white-collared crime and apparently, the nexus of every crime is with people in power. The plea to `unearth' scams; `bringing the c
ulprit' to book are meant only to deceive the public. Ultimately, nothing substantial happens.
Therefore, it is not sufficient to just declare their links but they should also be removed from the JPC, if there should be a meaningful deliberation emerging from such a high profile body. Hence, they must voluntarily exit or be removed from office in
all fairness.
What is the purpose of appointing such committees spending huge sums of money, if it allow basic decorum?
