It's Euro-cuisine!

S. Muralidhar

This summer, business travellers to the capital will have a new address to check out for its unique European cuisine. The Delhi-based Grand Hyatt, a luxury business hotel has thrown open its latest restaurant -- Brix, serving European style cuisine, incl uding Italian, German, French and Spanish delicacies.

Set in the hotel's hallmark `open display kitchen style', Brix radiates the sophistication of a formal, business style restaurant and the casual, relaxing `folded sleeves' attitude that the open kitchen and seating around it exude.

The restaurant features cream and wood coloured finish with a neatly laid out desserts display, open bar and walk around oven. The restaurant itself has a wide selection of dishes both for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The dishes have been carefully c hosen and the extremely region specific ones have been avoided. So, while a few pasta dishes are on the menu, one will not be able to locate lasagne on the list.

The food tastes genuine and the ingredients are fresh and carefully chosen. Most of the meat is imported, except for the chicken, which is locally procured. So is the cheese, but the vegetables are mostly procured from within the country. Brix also has a n interesting dessert menu with a wide selection of European desserts.

The restaurant also features a well-stocked basement wine cellar, which boasts of one of the widest selection of wines including French, Chilean, Australian and American wines. The cellar has been tastefully done up with cedar wood panelling and also has enough space for a small `wine and cigar' party.
