Plea to promote local IT cos

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Members of the Group of Technopark Companies (G-TECH) has expressed the view that the issues relating to promotion of local IT companies and sustained growth of the local market should exercise the minds of the policy makers as the ne wly sworn-in Government gets down to business in the State capital.

The G-TECH members made their views known to the new Minister for Industries and IT, Mr P. K. Kunhalikkutty, when he visited Technopark shortly after assuming charge. The members assured their support for, and expressed their willingness to partner with, the State Government's efforts at promoting the State as the preferred destination for investments in the IT sector.

Mr Kunhalikkutty, who has been closely associated with the development of Technopark in its early days, inspected the new buildings and other infrastructure that have since come up and also visited some of the units. -- Our Bureau
