CALCUTTA:THE Calcutta Stock Exchange on Wednesday saw the counters of Infosys, Ranbaxy, Satyam Computers, ACC and Silverline travel northward on buying interest.

Satyam, Hughes trigger market interest
THE financial performance of frontline technology stocks boosted the sentiment at the bourses on Tuesday. With Satyam Computers and Hughes Software pleasing the markets with out releasing any alarming numbers, active buying in the markets appeared to hav e continued.

Bull domination
WEDNESDAY'S trading activity witnessed a bull domination. Bears were unable to make any recovery during the day. However, the trend in the index remained sideways. The intra-day movement in the index was around 20 points. Bulls gained around 17 points f rom the day's trading. The market sentiment stands slightly in favour of the bulls.
