NEW DELHI, July 11
HYUNDAI Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has launched a new-look version of its popular small car - the Santro. The styling of the front grille, the headlamp cluster and the tail lamp cluster have been changed to offer a slight facelift to the car.
The new, remodelled Santro has been shipped to all dealerships nationwide and will be available for a marginally higher price of about Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000 for the three variants.
Accordingly, the new-look Santro LE costs Rs 3,34,379, the Santro LS costs Rs 3,75,395 and the Santro GS will now cost Rs 3,98,321, ex-showroom in Delhi.
These Santros also feature remote fuel lid opener. Some of the other variants of the Santro also feature clear fog lamps, a rear spoiler with LED stop lamp and chrome finish radiator grills.
A HMIL release added that the new-look Santro has been conceived based on customer feedback and is the company's response to the changing aspirations of its demanding customers.
The company has said that the interiors have also received some tweaking with the upholstery of the seats becoming more plush and comfortable.
HMIL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company of Korea and manufactures the Santro and the Accent passenger cars at its manufacturing facility in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai.
