HYDERABAD: The Implementation Secretariat, the body constituted to privatise State-Level Public Enterprises (SLPEs) in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday announced it has handed over the Chagallu distillery of the Nizam Sugars Ltd to the Jeypore Sugar Company.

The agreement to sell the unit was signed on April last after Jeypore's bid of Rs 9 crore was approved.

Preferred bidders have also been approved for other NSL units of Mombojipalli distillery, Latchayyapeta sugar mill and Madhuranagar sugar mill. Discussions to finalise the sale and purchase agreements for these units are due to be completed shortly. -- O ur Bureau
