Nalco PAT up

NEW DELHI, July 11

NATIONAL Aluminium Company Ltd (Nalco) has earned a net profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 43.95 crore during June 2001 against the target amount of Rs 34.62 crore.

Profit before tax (PBT) during the month stood at Rs 61.27 crore and gross profit was Rs 69.13 crore on a gross sales turnover of 194.02 crore. The company exported aluminium powder and aluminium worth Rs 75.06 crore during the month.

During the first quarter of the current fiscal, the company achieved a gross sales turnover of Rs 592.02 crore against a target of Rs 577.73 crore and a net profit after tax of Rs 148.60 crore. Export earnings during the period stood at Rs 248.59 crore.
