Tea Board revises 2000 output

CHENNAI: The country's tea production for the year 2000 has been revised by the Tea Board from 824 million kg (mkg) to 843 mkg. The output during 1999 was 806 mkg.

The board has raised the output from the northern region to 641 mkg and from the south to 204 mkg, according to a note from the board.
