HDFC Bank's monsoon offers

Our Bureau

COIMBATORE, July 14

HDFC Bank has chosen to herald the monsoon season with a slew of promotional offers, including interest-free loan for computer education, loans against Government of India Relief Bonds and consumer loan offers at zero to low interest rates.

The bank also has extended its branch and ATM network, including offsite ATMs, across the country.

In a communication to its account holders, HDFC Bank has said that those availing loans against GoI Relief Bonds would be given personalised cheque book and a current account ATM card. The interest charged would be for the amount used and for the period it was utilised. This would provide higher liquidity without any higher interest outgo.

The bank has also intimated that under a tie-up with Aptech Ltd, HDFC Bank would offer computer education loans from Rs 20,000 to Rs 1 lakh at zero interest, the loans being repayable in 12-36 months.

The bank has opened new branches in Agra, Mumbai, New Delhi and Udaipur, besides offsite ATMs in about 15 cities across the country, taking the total number of branches to 130 and over 240 ATMs in 53 cities.

The consumer loan offers, at zero to low interest rates without any pre-approval documents, would be available in select cities for select products till August 30, the bank added.
