M.F. Husain has a brush with Kerala

GOD'S own country or `Kalyanikutty's Keralam'? Clad in the traditional dress of a Kerala woman Kasavu mundu and davani, Kalyanikutty represents the rustic, innocent girl. The famous painter, M.F. Husain, has created Kalyanikutty as a symbolic representat ion of the beauty of Kerala. Husain will create 30 paintings in the Kalyanikutty series in a month's time, visiting all tourist spots in the State. The tourism promotion project is jointly sponsored by the Kerala Tourism Department and Air India.
