Apollo Hospitals Q1 net down at Rs 6.5 cr

CHENNAI: Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd has registered a net profit of Rs 6.5 crore in the first quarter of 2001-2002. This is a drop of 10.95 per cent from the net profit of Rs 7.3 crore registered during the corresponding period of the previous finan cial year.

The turnover was Rs 82.5 crore, an increase of 13.95 per cent (Rs 72.4 crore).

The total expenditure was Rs 66.3 crore (Rs 57 crore); interest Rs 4.7 crore (Rs 5 crore); depreciation Rs 4 crore (Rs 3.3 crore) and gross profit Rs 10.9 crore (Rs 10.6 crore).

During the financial year 2000-2001, the company had registered a net profit of Rs 30.7 crore on a turnover of Rs 303.8 crore.
