Saw Pipes net down 30 pc at Rs 3.82 cr

NEW DELHI: Saw Pipes Ltd has reported a total income of Rs 56.92 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2001 against Rs 138.22 crore in the same period the previous year.

Net profit went down by 30.79 per cent to Rs 3.82 crore (Rs 5.52 crore).

Income from operations stood at Rs 54.14 crore and other income at Rs 2.76 crore. The company's interest outgo during the quarter was Rs 9.6 crore and depreciation amounted to Rs 3.3 crore. The provision for taxation was Rs 25 lakh.

The earning per share nosedived by almost one third to Rs 0.84 during the quarter compared to Rs 1.26 recorded during the corresponding period last year. -- Our Bureau
