Jaiprakash Ind net at Rs 23.22 crore

NEW DELHI: Jaiprakash Industries Ltd (JIL) has reported a net profit of Rs 23.22 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2001. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 6.57 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2001.

Net sales of the company for the quarter ended review stood at Rs 380.95 crore. Other income for the three months period ended September 30, 2001 stood at Rs 11.96 crore.

For the six months period September 30, 2001, JIL has reported a net profit of Rs 45.36 crore on a net sales of Rs 719.43 crore. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 27.90 crore on a net sales of Rs 711.31 crore for the six months ended September 30,2000

The results of the quarter/half-year ended September 30, 2001 are not comparable with the corresponding quarterly/half yearly figures of the previous year, which included the operations of the cement division that has been hived off with effect from Apri l 1, 2001.
