Sinha for global banking reforms

NEW DELHI : The Finance Minister, Mr Yashwant Sinha, has made out a strong case for undertaking major reforms in the global banking arena to check cross-border fund transfers by terrorists.

Mr Sinha said that developed nations would have to carry out major reforms in their own systems. India was in a much better position to track illegal transactions because of the restrictions imposed by the Government, he added. -- Our Bureau
