NEW DELHI, Nov. 29
E.I. DUPONT, a global leader among science-based technology companies, has offered Indian industry its safety expertise to become `champions' in world class safety performance and derive excellence in business performance.
``It is the leadership function that will drive meaningful value in support of safety excellence,'' Mr Clive R. Blunt, Business Manager for DuPont Safety Resources in the Asia-Pacific region, said in a paper on `Business excellence Safety leaders
hip by example' which was presented at an international conference on corrosion at Bangalore.
Coming to India with its global commitment to conduct its business with respect and care for the environment, DuPont, he said, was ready to share its experience in `world class safety practices' with the Indian industry and the Government to make sustain
able growth a universal reality in the 21st century.
DuPont's experience in helping organisations has demonstrated that the company could rapidly add value and knowledge to many companies which today were performing quite well in global terms, Mr Blunt said while detailing how DuPont could help India in pr
eventing chemical disasters, creating greater public awareness about industrial and personnel safety and chemical emergency preparedness.
``In DuPont safety culture, the goal is zero ... zero incidents, zero injuries, zero illnesses, zero accidents. The highest standards of safety are an integral part of every operation and job task,'' Mr Blunt said.
