AP to open more projects for private sector role

HYDERABAD, Nov.29
BUOYED with encouraging response for expression of interest (EoI) from private firms, the Andhra Pradesh Government now plans to offer three more projects for development through private sector participation.
The Executive Director of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) Ltd, Mr.Tenneti Krishna Prasad, said that the Corporation plans to invite expression of interest for participation and development of the International School project,
Vizag drinking water project and the Financial District project.
He said the response for the Government initiative to invite private sector participation for the Gangavaram port, the Hardware Park near Shamshabad, the Multi-Modal transport project, had been extremely encouraging.``Soon we will invite EoI for these th
ree projects,''he said.
Following the Central Government's concurrence, the Prime Minister, Mr.Atal Behari Vajpyee, is set to lay the foundation stone for the proposed `Financial District' project on December 2. The project is planned to be developed in Cyberabad near the Hitec
City.
