Harsh measures in TN
Shankar T. G., Jakarta
The Tamil Nadu Government has announced a series of harsh measures that will hurt the poor, in particular.Without going into who is responsible for this state of affairs, it is a fact that current conditions require harsh measures.
There should be a trunaround strategy with an efficient Power sector as the core theme.Increase in power price with free power to farms, will make other sectors carry additional burden, not giving enough for TNEB to add capacities, and above all, will n
ot make the farm sector efficient.
