APITCO may send team to Canton fair

HYDERABAD, Sept. 24

THE Andhra Pradesh Industrial and Technology Consultancy Organisation Ltd (APITCO) has firmed up plans to organise a business delegation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to the forthcoming Chinese Export Commodities Fair (Canton fair).

The fair is to be held at Guangzhou (mainland China) in two phases - - October 15-20 and October 25-30. APITCO has proposed a delegation to visit the fair during October 17-27, so that the Indian delegates can derive the maximum advantage.

The Canton Fair showcases over 1,00,000 varieties of commodities from more than 4,000 Chinese enterprises. The product line displayed ranges from building materials and chemical products to leather and health products in the first phase exhibition during October 15-20.

In the second fair (October 25-30), the products to be exhibited would be from ceramics to kitchenware and sports goods to toys, horticultural, footwear and articles of daily use, according to a release from APITCO.
