Aircom Intl sets up R&D arm

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI: Aircom International, the UK-based radio engineering solutions company, is setting up its research & development (R&D) arm in the country with its Indian joint venture entity, Aircom HPS Wireless Services (AHWS).

According to a company release, this arm would be engaged in R&D and testing activity as an extension of the work done in the UK. With AHWS's R&D facility coming up in Noida, India would become the first country to be involved in research for Aircom's Enterprise Tool Suite.

Stating that £1 million would be an indicative investment figure accommodating over 25 associates, Mr David High, Group Director (Marketing & Sales), Aircom International, said, "The Indian facility will be involved in a new project which we have just started in the UK. The number of consultant experts will remain the same for the first year or so and then we will decide on expansion."
