New Products & Services Choice hotels to launch toll-free reservation nos Our Bureau
NEW DELHI, May 12 CHOICE Hospitality (India) Private Ltd, which operates 25 hotels around the country, plans to introduce a toll-free reservation number within the next two months. "Initially, the toll free number will be available only for the hotels in India. But eventually, it will also provide access to other hotels worldwide," the company's Chief Operating Officer, Mr Sunil Mathur, said. Meanwhile, the group plans to bring the Clarion brand into the country soon. "We are getting ready to introduce the Clarion brand in India and the Delhi hotel will be a Clarion property by next year. This is a brand which will grow." The introduction of the Clarion brand will mean that the customer will get access to an international class four-star deluxe hotel, Mr Mathur said. He added that the new brand was being brought in to cater to specific demands of the market. Choice Hospitality is the master franchise in India of the US-headquartered Choice Hotels International, which is popular world-wide for its brand of hotels such as Clarion, Quality Inn and Sleep Inn. Despite having 10 of its 25 hotels in South India, the group is keen to further expand in the region and open up in more cities there. "We had to come away from a working agreement in Cochin and are keen to get back there, especially as we look at it as a gateway to Kerala. There are many other cities in the South such as Tirupati, Coimbatore, Madurai, which are also being focussed on," Mr Mathur said.
