THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Water level in the major reservoirs in the State declined when compared to corresponding levels last week, according to the Central Water Commission.

At Kallada, the level declined from 314.04 ft last week to 310.04 ft, while at Idukki, the largest among the reservoir, it declined from 2300.40 ft to 2299.55 ft. At Idamalayar, the level cane down from 398.92 ft to 394.95 ft.

At Kallada, the level rose by 11.55 ft when compared with the last year's readings. But, it was down in the two other reservoirs, the commission said.
