Djibouti keen on tie-up with Escorts heart institute

NEW DELHI, May 20

ESCORTS Heart Institute and Research Centre (EHIRC) on Tuesday said that it has been invited by the East African State of Djibouti to help set up one such unit in that country.

After visiting the Escorts facility today, the President of Djibouti, Mr Ismail Omar Guelleh, currently in the Capital on an official visit, said that his country would like to collaborate with Escorts to set up such an institution in Djibouti.

"We may start with a cardiac programme in our country with assistance from doctors and surgeons at Escorts", he said.
