E&Y selects B.L.Munjal for its award panel

NEW DELHI, May 20

ERNST & Young, the global professional services firm, said it has selected Mr Brijmohan Lall Munjal, Chairman of two-wheeler major, Hero Honda, to the international panel of judges for the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year awards, to be held in Monte Carlo during June 5-8.

Mr Munjal is the first Indian to be on the 11-member jury for the prestigious award, according to Mr Kashi Memani, Chairman, Ernst & Young India.

Entrepreneur Of The Year 2002 award winners from 27 countries will vie with each other for the World Entrepreneur Of The Year award. From India, Mr N.R. Narayana Murthy of Infosys is also in the running.

"Mr Munjal's nomination to the exclusive panel of judges for the third Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year is a recognition of his indomitable entrepreneurial spirit, and a testimony that India's business leaders are today sought after all over the world," Mr Memani said.

He said nominations for the `Entrepreneur Of The Year' award for the current year were open from today. Previous winners of this award in India are Mr Subhash Chandra of Zee Telefilms and Mr Mukesh Ambani of Reliance, besides Mr Brijmohan Lall Munjal and Mr Narayana Murthy.
