MUMBAI, June 30

CHRISTIAN Dior, on Monday launched its latest international range of watches — `Chris 47 steel' — in India, as part of the global launch.

The new unisex model pricing between Rs 44,000 and Rs 50,000 comes in four versions in combinations of white, red, silver and black dials with white, red, black and python strap bracelets, which is a hit with the fashion conscious Indian consumer, according Mr Philippe Pascal, Chairman and CEO, LVMH watch and jewellery.

``India has been one of the key markets for LVMH watches and jewellery and it has been given priority in our international launch plan for Chris 47 Steel as well. It is my observation that the Indian consumer is well informed and savvy about international trends and very closely follows global fashion,'' said Mr Philippe Pascal, at a press conference announcing the launch of the new watch.
