Our Bureau

BANGALORE: Oriental Bank of Commerce has chosen Wipro Infotech as the partner for IT-enabling its banking processes through a centralised banking solution.

As prime integrator, Wipro will integrate Infosys' core banking and Internet banking solutions as well as provide the bank with tele-banking and cash management solutions. It will also provide the infrastructure platform to support the applications, according to a press release.

In the pilot phase, Oriental Bank of Commerce will bring 25 branches under the core banking solution by March 2004 and then roll out the solution to cover 500 branches in about four years, the release states.
