Godrej No 1 emerges top selling soap

Mumbai , July 22

GODREJ No 1, the flagship brand of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL), has emerged as the largest selling grade one soap in the country, Mr Adi Godrej, Chairman, GCPL, said on Tuesday.

``It is a low priced soap and has no fillers unlike other soaps,'' he said.

GCPL has launched the ayurvedic variant of Godrej No 1. The brand had registered a growth of 96 per cent during the first half of 2002-03.
