LCL to work as representative for Famous Pacific

Our Bureau

Kolkata , Aug. 13

THE Mumbai-based LCL Group will act as the representative of Famous Pacific Shipping (FPS) in India. This follows the decision of FPS to strengthen its presence and expand its operation in this country.

Of late the customers of the FPS network all over the world are handling more and more traffic to and from India, which, though having good potential, is considered to be a complicated market where local expertise is a prerequisite for successful operation.

Like other agents of FPS in various parts of the world, the LCL Group too, it is felt, has the requisite knowledge of the local condition to generate business opportunities for its customers. Working as part of a global network of FPS, LCL, it is hoped, will be able to negotiate favourable rates and retain control of the cargoes throughout the transport chain.
