Fedders Lloyd moves into bus AC, truck refrigeration

New Delhi , Aug. 13

FEDDERS Lloyd Corporation Ltd, a Rs 170-crore air-conditioner major, has entered into a tie-up with Hong Lim Industrial Co Ltd, a Rs 176-crore Korean air conditioner company, to make its foray into bus AC and truck refrigeration business.

Bus AC requires no separate engine to drive the compressor, therefore consuming less fuel than conventional one and is designed to draw power from the main engine to suit the next generation air-conditioned buses in India. Fedders Lloyd with a separate Business Division for this new energy efficient and eco-friendly product will market the entire range of products under the brand name of "HIL Lloyd", Mr R. Krishnan, CEO, Fedders Lloyd said. Fedders Lloyd will be targeting tour operators, airlines, road corporations, OEM market & hotel chains combined for bus AC and truck refrigeration products.
