Pfizer-Parke-Davis merger: Stay extended

Mumbai , Aug. 13

THE Bombay High Court has extended the stay on the merger of Pfizer Ltd with Parke-Davis India Ltd until September 5, 2003. The court issued an order dated August 12 in this regard.According to Pfizer Ltd, some dissenting shareholders had submitted an urgent petition for the extension of the stay to a Bombay High Court Division Bench.

"The dissenting shareholders informed the Court that they have filed an Special Leave Petition (SLP) at the Supreme Court on August 11, 2003 which is yet to be numbered as certain objections are to be removed. This SLP has not been served on the company till date,'' Pfizer said in a notice to the BSE on Wednesday.
