Commodities Chemical prices move in a narrow range NEW DELHI: The wholesale chemical market closed on a steady note on Saturday as prices moved in a narrow range in the absence of significant buying activity against adequate stocks and settled around previous levels. Traders said negligible buying activity against adequate stocks position mainly kept prices steady. They said fresh arrivals in the wholesale market also influenced the trading sentiment to some extent. Following are today's quotations: Ammonium chloride (50 kg), Rs 1700-2,500, acetic acid (1 kg) Rs 42, ammonia bicarb (25 kg) Rs 350-390, boric acid technical (50 kg) Rs 4,100-4,400, borex granular (50 kg) Rs 1,900-2,000. Caustic soda flake (50 kg) Rs 1,200-1,250, citric acid (50 kg) (China) Rs 2,100-3,000, citric acid deshi (50 kg) Rs 2,300-2,900, camphor slab (1 kg) Rs 285, camphor powder (1 kg) Rs 270, glycerin (1 kg) Rs 90-100, hexamine (1 kg) Rs 75, hydrogen peroxide (1 kg) Rs 33-35, mercury (34.5 kg) Rs 35,500, menthol bold crystal (per kg) Rs 620, menthol flake (1kg) Rs 585 and mentha oil (1 kg) Rs 530. - PTI
