Info-Tech MUMBAI: Core Projects & Technologies Ltd on Tuesday said its US-based subsidiary, Enterprise Computing Services Inc (ECS), has bagged a Rs 30.36 crore order from the North Carolina department of public instruction, US. In a filing on the Bombay Stock Exchange, Core Projects said the department has issued a letter of intent to its US-based subsidiary, for the continued, development and maintenance of the comprehensive exceptional children accountability system (CECAS).
The project is to be executed over a period of three years. This is in continuation of Rs 23 crore contract, which was successfully executed by ECS on schedule in May 2006. The CECAS facilitates student information for over 2,00,000 physically and mentally challenged students across school and district boundaries throughout the State. With the latest contract, ECS has bagged orders in altogether 5 states Georgia, Michigan, Maine, Florida and North Carolina. On the national front, Core Projects made its first foray into the domestic education sector by bagging a contract from Jharkhand Government under the Sarva Sikhsa Abhiyan (SSA) programme. The shares of Core Projects and Technologies were trading at Rs 3 38.05, up 0.63 per cent, on the BSE. - PTI
